Guilty Plea Comes with Prison, Sex Offender Registration for Morrisville Man

A Morrisville man will have to register as a sexual offender once he gets out of prison, a judge ruled recently.

Darrell Holt, 23, of Morrisville, plead guilty to aggravated assault and indecent assault without consent. He is facing three to six years in prison, probation after and will be registered as part of Megan’s Law as a sexual offender. County Judge Rea Boylan sentenced the man earlier this month.

According to court documents, Holt had his arm around the victim on the floor of her Bristol Township apartment after she got in a fight with a man Holt had been drinking with earlier in the night. The woman told police that Holt unexpectedly pushed her back and raped her.

Holt’s drinking partner returned to th apartment and witnessed the rape. Enraged, the man punched Holt twice. The 23-year-old ran from the apartment in a state of undress, police said.

Holt was recently sentenced to probation in connection with a sexual assault case out of Morrisville.
