Sesame Place’s “A Very Furry Christmas” celebration kicks off Saturday at the Middletown theme park based on award-winning children’s show “Sesame Street.”
Crews have been working recently to turn the park into a one-of-a-kind winter wonderland for visitors. Cheerful Christmas music, light displays and chocolate gingerbread cookies will greet those who visit the theme park.

“From the festive attractions to the special Christmas treats, there is no better place for families to get into the holiday spirit than alongside their favorite Sesame Street friends at Sesame Place,” Sesame Place Park President Bob Caruso said.

The park added a second trackless Furry Express trail this year and expanded features at the e Gingerbread Cookie Factory tour.

As it will be opening weekend, the Emmy-winning child-geared band Imagination Movers will be performing three shows on both Saturday and Sunday. The group will perform holiday tunes for all to enjoy.

At A Very Furry Christmas, guests can enjoy the park’s mechanical rides, a larger-than-life Christmas tree and light show, a nightly parade set to festive music and one-of-a-kind fun-filled shopping in the park’s gift shops. There will be three Christmas shows, as well as an opportunity to share a holiday-themed meal with Elmo & friends and a visit with Santa Claus during special character dining experiences that are sure to please everyone in the family.

CHOO-CHOO SOUL will entertain kids with their soulful renditions of seasonal favorites on December 7 and December 8, park officials note.
