Middletown Park Gets New Name

Middletown’s Poplar Park is now Firefighters Park.

The township board of supervisors approved the name change 5-0 in summer following the Parks & Recreation Board’s support.

Jim McFadden, a firefighter with Parkland Fire Company, requested the township to change the name of the park to recognize the efforts of the volunteer firefighters who keep Middletown safe, according to meeting minutes.
