John Dougherty, 66, of Bristol Borough, who retired in December of 2012 after 20 years as coordinator of the county’s Emergency Management Agency passed away multiple sources have confirmed Saturday afternoon.
Dougherty was at his home on Lincoln Avenue in Bristol Borough when Bucks County Rescue responded to an emergency call there and transported him to Lower Bucks Hospital, sources say, where attempts to revive him failed.

Bucks County Public Information Director Chris Edwards said its very sad news and that Dougherty was a great colleague and gentlemen adding the family is asking for privacy at this time.
