Bucks County Technical High School is open Friday after a fire filled part of the building with smoke early in the morning.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the fire started in a pile of wood about 15 feet from school and extended toward a dust collection system, causing smoke to filter into the building.

The school’s woodshop and the nearby hallway were filled with smoke, but the building suffered no serious damage, Dippolito said.
The fire marshal said the pile of wood was fenced in and the fire does not appear suspicious. He added that investigators will be checking the school’s security camera footage.
Video posted on YouTube by local videographer Ron Roberts shows firefighters stretching a hose into the school. The footage also shows fire crews on the building’s roof.

Several local fire companies responded and had the flames out in less than 15 minutes.
A message on the school’s website states that schools started on time.
