Driver Hurt in Route 1 Crash

A car that went off an embankment along Route 1 in Falls Township required firefighters to remove the driver.

The vehicle went off the southbound lanes of the highway just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to scanner traffic, the car went down an embankment in the area of Oxford Valley Road.

One person in the car was rescued by first responders and had to taken to the hospital for injuries.

Traffic on southbound Route 1 was delayed for a period of time following the crash. The crash was cleared by 1:30 p.m., according to PennDOT.
