Neshaminy Creek Gauges Will Continue to Monitor Water Levels

The Bucks County Commissioners approved a contract that will help keep taps on possible flooding along the Neshaminy in Lower Bucks County.

According to information released by the county, the commissioners unanimously approved a $565,270 contract with the U.S. Department of the Interior and Geological Survey. The one-year contract covers six creek gauging stations in the creek basin.

“These gauges have been extremely valuable for monitoring creek conditions in the flood-prone residential areas of lower Bucks County,” officials said.

The Neshaminy Creek is often a flooding prone in Bensalem, Bristol Township and Middletown. The gauges show creek levels and help officials monitor potential problems.
