October is when we celebrate Halloween, and also it’s National Chiropractic Health Month. Fairless Hills-based Chiropractor Dr.Tony Gardner said people who come to his office have nothing to be scared of.

Dr. Gardner, who was named best chiropractor in the Philadelphia area on MyFoxPhilly’s MoJo pages business listings for the second year in a row, said many people who come into his neatly decorated and relaxing office often have misconceptions about chiropractors.

Dr. Gardner does things differently than many chiropractors. Dr. Gardner said he likes to meet with potential patients to get a speak with them, discover their health goals and find out their concerns.

“We set a wellness plan with a start and stop date,” he said, adding the “road map” gives patients a guide to their treatment.

“There are three types of patients who come into his office,” Dr. Gardner said. “Someone that want to get out of pain, someone that want to correct the problem long term and the person who goes for their total well being.”

Dr. Gardner notes that he finds people often take care of noticeable things like teeth and skin before handling back and spine problems, which are much more serious.

“One of the biggest problems is that spines aren’t t noticeable and people wait to get help,” he said. “Your spine will help you stay young and mobile.”

Dr. Gardner is offering a free consultation to anyone who makes an appointment and mentions “LevittownNow.com.”

Dr. Gardner said he believes one of the keys to overall health and wellness is connected to the spine. He noted that a stressed spine  impacts the immune system and makes everyday activities uncomfortable.

During treatment, Dr. Gardner uses methods that make the process more comfortable for patients. One of those is the drop table. The drop table lets Dr. Gardner focus on the area where an adjustment is needed.

Patients travel to the Fairless Hills office from as far away as Delaware for treatment by Dr. Gardner. One woman, he recounted, did not want to go to a chiropractor because she did not believe it would solve her health issues. However after her visit, he received a card in the mail thanking him for making her feel better.

Inside his office is a book of testimonials and statements from patients who strongly believe in the work he does and the treatment he provides. Dr. Gardner uses tried and true techniques on his patients and strives to give them a higher quality of life.

“Some people want to be professional fighters and others just want to pick up their grandkids,” Dr. Gardner said.
