UPDATE: Decomposing Body Called ‘Suspicious’

Police are continuing to investigate the decomposing body found at the site of a abandoned lumber yard in Falls Township.

Lt. Hank Ward called the death “suspicious” and said county and township detectives are continuing to investigate the body.

The body was found under a tarp by a couple walking and looking for mushrooms, Ward said.

Police are not yet sure the gender of the body. Ward did say that some clothing was found with the body.

The badly decomposed body of a person was reportedly found under a tarp at a M Y Lane address in Falls Township Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Hank Ward told LevittownNow.com that officers responded at around 4 p.m. after the body was reported. Ward said little further details on the cause of death were available and that officers were on-scene digging into the case.

Scanner reports indicated the body was found at an old lumber yard.

M Y Lane is off Lincoln Highway in the Morrisville section of the township. The roadway leads to several businesses and features some wooded areas.

Ward said more information is expected to be release Saturday night.
