A Philadelphia man will not be executed by the state for the Bristol Township murder of 18-year-old Jarrett Osborne in November 2006, according to a report.
According to the Bucks County Courier Times, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office reached a “rare agreement” with David Ramtahal, 29. Under the agreement, the death sentence against Ramtahal, which was in the appeal process, will be reduced to a life in prison without parole.

Osborne was shot as he fled after Ramtahal and another man approached in the Winder Village section of the township. Osborne ran and Ramtahal fired his gun and the victim died shortly after at the hospital.
Ramtahal has already been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a mother of three during a 2007 home invasion in Montgomery County.
