Power Problems Equal Early Dismissial for Lincoln Students

pecologoStudents at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Levittown got out at 1 p.m. on Thursday due to issues with electricity, Bristol Township School District officials said.

The early dismissal was announced just before 12:30 p.m. on the district website.

Cops: Driver of Dump Truck That Overturned Was High & Texting

PECO spokesman Greg Smore said the power issues were called by equipment failure. He said PECO repair crews would be working to fix the problem throughout the afternoon and repair work will be done before school starts Friday.

Smore said power issues in the area of East Lincoln Hwy and Veterans Highway in Middletown were unrelated to the problems at Lincoln, which is only impacting the school.
