A fight between a husband and wife that started over restless leg syndrome ended with injuries in Falls Township, police say.
Officers were dispatched to the Woodcrest Village Apartments early Monday morning for reports of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a woman who said her husband – Peter Carpinona, 46 – was awoken by his restless leg syndrome. She told police that he went into the living room and threw the TV and knocked over a cat’s litter box, according to court papers.
Carpinona then went into the bedroom and began to yell at his wife for not helping him with his condition, she told police.
It is alleged by the woman that the 46-year-old then struck her in the face with an open hand and pushed her onto their bed.

As Carpinona went to leave, he ripped the keys out of his wife’s hands, which caused a small cut, police said. The wife and the couple’s son both said Carpinona headbutted her and threw her down, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Carpinona told police that his wife had attacked him and their son had to pull her off, court papers say.

Once at the police station for processing, Carpinona showed an officer a small red mark on his arm, according to authorities. The 46-year-old reportedly said the mark was from where his wife had bit him as their son pulled her off.
Police charged Carpinona with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Michael J. Burns and sent to county jail on 10 percent of $17,500 bail.
