Man Breaks Neck in Car Vs. Bus Crash

An area man was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after he suffered a broken neck after being involved in a serious vehicle accident on North Oxford Valley Road in Falls.

Police said that the man turned in front of the a SEPTA bus as it chugged up the hill at Oxford Valley Road toward Trenton Road shortly before 9 p.m. The accident happened in the area of Devon Road.

The man was pinned in his car and firefighters had to extricate him, police said.

Oxford Valley Road was closed between Bristol-Oxford Valley and Trenton roads, as emergency crews tended the accident scene.

The man’s condition was unknown on Friday afternoon.
