Monday night, at around 9 :30 p.m., Bristol Borough first responders were called out to 519 Jefferson Ave to a fire call.
When getting to the scene, fire staff were greeted by a smoke-filled home with all the occupants safely outside waiting, witnesses said.

An unattended pan with grease left on a stove, ย according to ย Bristol Borough Fire Chief ย Herb Slack, was the cause of the fire and smoky conditions at the two-story structure.
Slack also said, there was smoke damage on the first floor and fire damage on the second floor of the home.ย The second floor fire damage was confined to the hood over the stove,ย kitchen ceiling and kitchen cabinets.
“The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania is assisting one resident affected by a fire in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue in Bristol. The Red Cross has provided this resident with financial assistance for food, clothing as well as lodging at a local hotel,” spokesperson Sara Smith said.
