Mosquito Spraying Set for Areas in Middletown and Falls

A limited adult mosquito control event on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, weather permitting, as part of the counties West Nile Virus Program.

Spraying  will commence at dusk.

The area to be sprayed will be the Red Rose Gate section of Middletown Township. The Oxford Valley Golf Club in Falls Township also will be sprayed.

Earlier this month,  several mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus has been found in the Levittown area.

The application chemical will be Duet, to be applied using an ultra low volume truck mounted sprayer at a rate of .75 to one ounce per acre. One truck will be used, a green Chevrolet truck with the County of Bucks seal on the side. There will be a lead truck, a Ford Ranger pickup also with a county seal. Additional equipment will be used as needed.
