A state parolee’s haunting reign of terror and intimidation over his wife during a three-month period came to end Thursday night with his arrest on an array of offenses, police say.
The wife and alleged victim of Christopher George Ehlinger called police. She told authorities she had never accessed police resources before because she was embarrassed and ashamed for her family and friends to find out that her husband was torturing her. The torturing came in the form of overt and covert threats to her daily, police said. The victim, however, contacted police, because the felt the threats to be imminent and real she told police, according to court documents.

The 31-year-old Bristol Township man, who had recently been released from prison, repeatedly warned his wife he would kill her if she went to authorities, police say. The victim told authorities if he was forced to go back to jail to finish out his sentence – putting him in prison until 2018 – he would kill her. Ehlinger is reported to have told her he would get rid of her body and bones by using acid to eliminate any and all evidence, further adding it would be like a Friday night horror movie, a probable cause affidavit says.
On July 13, the victim, her mother and daughter were traveling down Bath Road, towards her Grandmother’s home on Second Avenue, when they saw the defendant who saw them. The defendant met them at their point of destination.
The victim called township police on July 14 after the Ehlinger showed up at the victims place of employment on two separate occasions threatening her, court records say.

The second intrusion by the defendant, near the closing time for the office, he came in shouting and yelling when the woman attempted to call 911 Ehlinger “slapped” the phone out of her hand. The victim then attempted to reach maintenance workers using a walkie-talkie, which the defendant grabbed from her hand. Ehlinger then threw the papers on the victim’s desk all over the office, leaving after she threatened to call police. The defendant waited in the parking lot, while the victim locked herself in the office, then waiting for family members to escort her home to make she was safe safety, according to court documents.
On July 10, Ehlinger, police say, grabbed his wife by the arms, slamming her against the kitchen counter. Three additional assaults spanning April and May took place. Ehlinger is accused of attacking, terrorizing and stalking his wife. The incidents lead the victim to fear for her life because death threats made by the suspect, court documents say.

Ehlinger, was taken into custody and arraigned by District Court Judge Joanne V. Klien on multiple assault and stalking charges, plus one charge of terroristic threats and added summary offenses.
He is currently in Bucks County Jail in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 21.
