The theft of two price scanner guns isn’t something you expect to see in the daily police log, but it happened this week.
According to Middletown Township police, two price scanning guns valued at $1,400 each were taken with 25 minutes of each other last Tuesday at two different Giant Food Stores in the township.

The Giant Food Store on North Flowers Mill Road was the victim of a price gun theft at 1:34 a.m. At 1:51 a.m., the Giant on New Falls Road fell subject to the theft of an expensive scanner gun, police said.
No word was given if police think the same suspect is responsible.
Similar crimes have happened recently in other parts of the area. A $2,000 price gun was swiped from the Whitpain Township Giant in late June, according to Norristown Patch.
