Cops: Man Drags Woman Through 7-Eleven Parking Lot After Stealing Purse

A night out with friends at a Bristol Township hot spot turned into one of ย terror for a local woman as she was robbed and dragged through a 7-Eleven parking lot on Trenton Road in Falls Township, police say.

Justin Jones, 21 of Levittown, was making his way out of ย the Stadium Bar in Bristol Township when he knocked over a chair with the victims purse on it as he was ย leaving the local watering hole early Sunday morning, police records say.

After cleaning up the spilled drink, the victim and an employee of the bar noticed, that the woman’s purse was missing and immediately suspected Jones has stolen it, according to court documents.

Jones contacted the bar employee, since they had an established rapport, looking to “hangout” with the witness, police say.ย  The bar employee, thinking she could help the victim recover her purse, agreed to meet Jones telling him to meet her at the 7-Eleven on Trenton Road, court records say.

Jones, according to the probable cause affidavit, arrived in a small gold vehicle.

Upon exiting the vehicle, the victim, who was with the bartender confronted Jones about taking her purse subsequently grabbing the car keys from him and opening up the trunk of the vehicle, police say.

The woman told police she saw her purse in the trunk of the car than began to yell at Jones and the driver demanding to know why they would do this her.

Jones, the women told police, then pushed her away from the vehicle closing the trunk with pocketbook still locked inside. Jones grabbed the keys from the victim got into the car, while the woman screamed at him not to leave with her clutch, court documents say.

The victim told police that here was a third person in the car, a man, who grabbed her by the face and held on to her as Jones began to back out of the parking lot continuing his grip as the suspect ย began to drive away, police say.

As Jones began to drive way, the woman was dragged by the car through the ย parking lot, fell to the ground and then run over by the vehicle as Jones drove away fleeing from the scene, court records say.

The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Jones was arraigned by District Court Judge Vislosky on two counts of felony aggravated assault , one count of felony theft and receiving stolen property, according to online court records plus associated charges. ย Jones ย was sent to Bucks County Jail in lieu of 10 percent of $150,000.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 31.

Online court records indicate Jones was also charged on July 22ย  for simple assault in an unrelated incident taken place on July 17.
