Late last June a mother dropping of her son to his father was verbally abused then assaulted by the child’s father leading to charges being filed by Bristol Township police on Monday, court documents say.
Paul Oncu, 36 of Croydon, was picking up his son and a vehicle from the victim, when he started to berate the victim in front of the child calling her a “druggie” and making negative statements about the woman’s mother, according to court documents.

The victim repeatedly asked Oncu to cease the verbal assault especially in front of their son, who she then picked up to remove from the barrage of negativity that Oncu persisted with, police say.
After picking up her son, Oncu grabbed the child from the victims arms as she was telling her son not to listen to the defendant who was cursing at the woman. Oncu then told the victim that she would never see her son again court documents say.
The defendant then reached out and shoved the victim with his forearm applying pressure to her throat. The victim yelled at Oncu to stop hitting her, who then proceeded to punch the victim in the face which officers later reported to be “red and turning to purple and getting bigger” police records say.

Oncu was taken into custody on Monday and charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of District Court Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. on August 21.
