Yesterday afternoon the Levittown Pacific 50/70 Little League Team started on its journey towards bringing home a state championship.
On Sunday the team earned its way to the state championships by winning the sectional 8 title in an offensive slug fest over Lower Merion.

As leagues go, traveling across the state to play for titles costs money. Gas, room rentals, food, and an assortment of other costs leagues can’t account for till the a championship moment is upon them.
Such is the case for the Levittown Pacific 50/70 team who begin their quest for a state title with play starting today in Collier Township, just outside of Pittsburgh.
A posting on their league Facebook page yesterday is asking for support from area businesses and organizations.

“Hey all our supporters if anyone knows any business or individuals that would be interested in helping us out please refer them to me. They get their name on a sign at the Levittown Pacific Little League fields for two seasons. Just booked the hotels for the kids and man it is expensive.”
Coach Rick Palmer said $100 will get supporters names on a combined sign that lists everyone contributing to the league. Or for $300 a local organization or business can have their own 4×4 sign.
