It hasn’t always been easy for 11-month-old Logan Killeen or his parents, but he’s getting better and his family now wants to help others.
Logan’s parents Matt and Nicole Killeen of Falls Township along with family are now working to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Logan’s name.

Logan’s grandfather, Rich Dippolito, also the Falls Township fire marshal, said the family wants to raise money to help other sick kids.
“[Logan] spent a lot of time in CHOP,” he said. “They did a really great job.”
In order to help raise money for “Logan’s Fund,” which goes directly to CHOP, Logan’s family will be holding an ice cream fundraiser with raffles and a DJ at Jo-Jo’s Ice Cream and Water Ice on New Falls Road in Levittown on July 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family invites the community to attend.

Dippolito said previous fundraisers have raised more than $10,000 and he hopes that number can be topped.
He said several members of Edgely Fire Company last year donated a huge TV for the raffle and businesses stepped up to help.

“This year might be bigger and better,” he said, adding that he is hoping Logan will be able to attending. “He’s doing a lot better.”
Logan was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome, a condition that effects development of facial bones and tissue. After several hospitalizations and surgery the family says Logan is happy and doctors pleased with his development.
