The girlfriend of a man arrested and charged with DUI and related offenses told police he took the wheel of her car and caused her to lose control and crash into a utility pole along New Falls Road early Saturday morning.

Bristol Township, Middletown and state police responded to the area of New Falls Road and Veterans Highway (Route 413) at 12:41 a.m. for reports that a vehicle struck a pole. The caller told police the occupants pushed the car behind a building and were walking away from the scene.

Police observed that Sochalski appeared to be drunk.
