A woman speeding on Route 1 led police on four mile chase into New Jersey after midnight Tuesday, court records say.
Chidera Azogu, 21, of Hamilton, N.J., flashed by Falls Township Police on Route 1 and Stoney Hill Rd doing 80 in a 55 mph zone, police say.

Officers began pursuit of the speeding silver Kia Azogu was driving, flashing their lights on the driver of the vehicle, who did not respond to efforts to get her to stop, police say.
The officer chasing the woman along the shoulder of the highway then activated his sirens but Azogu refused to stop continuing on towards to the toll bridge, now with police spotlighting the car as the suspect was traveling at 50 mph, police say.
As the tracking police officer continued following, he pulled along side Azogu’s vehicle spot lighting the interior so he could get a full description of the person driving prior to leaving Pennsylvania on exit 29 and heading to New Jersey, court records say.

Responding officers from the Morrisville Borough Police Department, reported to the Falls Township Police that they had blocked the vehicle at the off ramp exit to Market St where officers from the Trenton Police Department had custody of the 21-year-old, police say.
Azogu told police she was scared and planned to pull into a gas station near the Trenton train station, court records say.

Falls Township Police noted in the probable cause affidavit, that traffic was lite and they traveled a total of 4.3 miles while pursuing the defendant.
Azogu faces one charge of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and a summons for speeding. She has a court date set for July 31 in front of District Court Judge Jan Vislosky.
