A Bristol Township man was arrested on charges that he entered a house he did not have permission to enter on Edgely Avenue through a window on Monday morning.
Timothy Thatcher, 24, of the Levittown section of the township, faces a charge of felony criminal trespass. He was arraigned before District Judge Joanne Kline and sent to Bucks County jail on 10 percent of $10,000 bail.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, a woman called 911 to report a burglary in progress at a on Edgely road. Police arrived and the woman yelled to them the direction the suspect went.
Police said they found the suspect a street away at Pitt and Grieb Avenues.
Thatcher told police he was coming from the home of a woman named Toni, who is a client of his girlfriend. The 24-year-old then said he decided he needed to make a phone call, knocked on the home’s front and back doors and sat on the porch for a few minutes due to the heavy rain before leaving, according to authorities.

The woman who reported the incident to police said she watched the suspect, whom she later identified as Thatcher, knock on the front and back doors before sitting in a chair on the porch, court records state. However, differing from Thatcher’s story, the woman told police he then opened a window screen and entered the house, where he remained for several minutes before exiting and walking away.
Court papers do state that Thatcher broke into the home, which is owned by a woman with the first name of Toni.
