Breaking and Updated: Flash Flood Warning Issued by NWS for Bucks

At approximately 3:15 P.M, the National Weather Service (NWS) out of Mt. Holly New Jersey issued a flash flood warning for all of Bucks County until 9:30 p.m. tonight.

According to NWS the flood warning means flooding has been reported or is imminent.

Doppler radar indicates rainfall in the area will continue at the rate of ย one inch per hour on average which will cause flooding for small streams and flooding of roadways.

NWS is warning the public to avoid driving through roadways covered in water and take to higher ground.

The National Weather Service (NWS) from Mt. Holly, New Jersey ย issued a flood advisory for all of Bucks County a short while ago.

According to NWS ย Doppler Radar is showing areas of ย moderate to heavy rain across the region with more rain predicted to be moving in from the south.

Currently the rain is moving ย in a northeasterly direction and will fall in areas that have seen approximately 1.5 to 2 inches already.

NWS says continued rainfall can cause ponding on roadways, ย low-lying areas, and small stream flooding.

The public is being warned ย to avoid driving through areas where roadways are covered with water because the depth of water might not be able to ascertained on roadways.

The advisory is in effect until 7:45 p.m. tonight.
