
The Bucks County Commissioners at their Wednesday meeting approved a three-year- $11.7 million contract for health care services provided to inmates being held at county correctional facilities.
According to the county, PrimeCare Medical Inc. of Harrisburg will provide “comprehensive health care service” to inmates and juveniles in the counties correction facilities.

With the new contract, Bucks County will receive reduced liability and improved medical records keeping, a statement said.

County Health Director Dr. David Damsker said the new contract was developed through a request for proposal process that began more than a year ago.
