New Jersey Medical Products Company Moving to Bristol Township, will Create 70 New Jobs

Worldwide Medical Products, Inc announced it will be re-locating its business operations in Bristol Township.

Council President Bob Lewis said Worldwide Medical Products, Inc. has chosen to locate on Wharton Road in Bristol Township in an Enterprise Zone in the Keystone Industrial Park. โ€œI am exceptionally pleased to welcome Worldwide Medical Products, Inc. to Bristol Township and thrilled that they will be creating seventy new jobs in the Township,โ€ he said.

Worldwide Medical Products, Inc. will be purchasing and renovating a 68,000 square foot building located on five acres on Wharton Road in the Keystone Industrial Park.

โ€œIn addition to the seventy (70) permanent jobs, there will also be temporary construction jobs during the retrofitting of the building by Worldwide Medical Products, Inc.,โ€ noted Lewis.

Chris Conway, ย Director of Operations of WWMP said, ย “we were looking forย warehousingย space that is bigger than where currently are, ย Bristol Township had the most appealing offer for us in terms of space and the incentives package that could be offered.”

“WWMP is excited to be coming to Bristol, it’s an exciting time for us as we continue to grow our operations”

Financing for the project is being provided through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority in conjunction with the Bucks County Economic Development Corporation. The total project cost is $4,610,000 with PIDA financing approved for $2,250,000.

Worldwide Medical Products, Inc. is a technologically advanced, quality driven provider of essential laboratory wares and services to the scientific community. WWWMP is part of the Genesis Biotechnology Group.

Their plant in Hamilton will remain open while they start the transfer process into Bristol, which Conway said could take anywhere from ย five toย seven weeks, even keeping both locations up and running for short time together in order to provide their customer’s with the service they are used to, said, Conway.

At last night’s Pro Team fundraiser at Bailey’s Tavern, , Lewis, smiled about the new business coming to Bristol, saying this is what we’ve been working towards, bringing successful companies like WWMP back to Bristol Township. ย It really is a good day for all involved.

Lewis also added “creating new sources in the local job market is of the up most importance to us and we’ll continue to work towards that end.

WWMP which currently rents the space they operate out of in Hamilton, has been in negotiations with the township since ย January, answering what critics might say is a political move because of the all important May primaries are days away.

“We’re far finished” ย Councilwoman Amber Longhitano, said in response to the announcement being a politically driven one.

“We’ve been working on this for a while.ย We want to share the good news as soon as possible with the township… they should know what we are doing as soon as we can make it publicly known,” said Longhitano.
