Truman High School students recently received some news they can be proud of.
Members of the Bristol Township high school’s Thespian Club took home seven awards at the Student Theater Festival at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope recently.

The young actors’ performance of family drama “How I Learned to Drive” took home a first place prize, the district said.
Students Luke Robinson and Marilyn Hall won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards for their performances. Justin McGrogan won best cameo performance” for his work in the stage show.
“The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” production won Jibree Robinson a Best Supporting Actor nod. Justin McGrogan and Ben Vargas took home prizes for Best Cameo Performances.

The district announced the students have been invited to perform “Gruesome Playground Injuries” on main stage at the Educational Theatre Association’s 2013 Thespian Festival in June. The festival is being held this year in Lincoln, Nebraska.
