Kitchen Fire Leaves Renter Out of Apartment

A Tuesday afternoon fire in a Bristol Township apartment complex was started by an unattended pot of oil left on the stove, officials said.

No one was hurt in the fire at the Venice Ashby apartment complex on Beaver Dam Road, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

The resident of the apartment, who did not have renter’s insurance, is displaced and will be staying with relatives due to the damage, he added.

Firefighters responded to the apartment complex shortly before 2 p.m. and quickly brought the fire under control, according to emergency radio reports.
