Social media, locally, lit up early Sunday morning, as reports circulated about Take Five Video being robbed on “late Saturday night.”
The reports of the Bristol Borough store located at the cross streets of Dorrance and Pond streets are incorrect, according to the Donna Zuczek, part owner of the video rental store, who is frustrated by “all that stuff on Facebook” but a lack of reporting by local media of what happen.

The collective jolt felt to those living on the well-traveled arterial running straight through the heart of the community, disrupted the rhythm of an early Spring afternoon.
For the young woman, who we’ll just call “E”, working the counter of the busy store, where patrons often stand outside, waving to friends driving by as they scratch off lottery tickets purchased from the popular local business, it was a “traumatic experience,” Zuczek, said.
“I’ve been in business here for 20 years and nothing like this has ever happen here before! Robbing a store, at 2:30 in broad daylight, while people are standing out front,” she exclaimed.

“In the 20 years I’ve been here, we’ve been robbed three times, but not like this,” she said.
As the story goes, from the details told to the stores proprietor by a person will identify only as “E”, a young white male, maybe 19-25, who was perusing the store earlier in the day came in, circled the counter and came up behind the “petite” young woman working in the store, according to information the store owner has been told.

She was finishing up her paper work and getting ready to vacuum said Zuczek, pointing to the front door and register facing Pond St.
The assailant, who was roaming the Dorrance Street side of the store, where racks of candy and videos stand, entered the somewhat circular register area punching E, in the face, who subsequently fell to the ground and remained for about 20-30 seconds.
The alleged thief, left with a little more than $850 dollars, casually walking out and disappearing into the lazy Saturday afternoon.

Bristol Borough police were here in seconds, said Zuczek retelling what she was told by regulars who come in buying hope in the form of a lottery ticket.
“What’s crazy… even more crazy about this is there were two men outside the store, and this guy casually walked away. It was like he was a ghost. But what really bothers are the rumors started on Facebook, the stuff posted on that, was all wrong. E’s not in the hospital, thousands wasn’t stolen, and it didn’t happen overnight,” she said in exasperation.

The employee who was there when the store was robbed had no comment other than to say she was physically “all right.”
Bristol police were not available for comment at press time.
