A Ewing New Jersey man was arrested yesterday on a felony child pornography charge by the Falls Township Police Department as part of an investigation that was started when his girlfriend discovered lewd pictures of a young girl on the mans computer more than a year ago, authorities, said.
On March 6 2012, officers of the Falls Township police responded to a call on Sweetwater Rd for a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, police spoke to a woman who used to be the defendant’s most recent girlfriend. She told police that she discovered “pictures of a female in different stages of nudity” on Christopher Steibing’s computer, court documents said.

The woman told police she believed the pictures were of the defendant’s a prior ex-girlfriend’s daughter, who she believed was to be between the ages of 12-15, court documents say.
The woman thought Steibing, 33, of New Jersey, was cheating on her. While Steibing was not around, she accessed his lap computer, which is only used by the defendant, police said.
Several America Online (AOL) instant messenger conversations from accounts “New Jersey Stoner” and “IAMCSKILLZ” – believed to be authored by Steibing – where he posed as a teenager and befriended several females also thought to be teenagers, were observed by the women, telling police they were “sexual” in nature, court records said.

The girlfriend told police the defendant befriended his ex-girlfriend’s daughter, known as “KW” in court documents, on AOL. During chats with a person under the screen name “Cute Girl,” where the female identifies herself by her full name, to the defendant, as he sends her messages telling her saying, ‘You are so beautiful,’ court records said.
The subject asks KW and received images, including naked ones, which are marked with a 2009 date when KW was 12-15 years old, police said.
After digging for more information on the defendants computer and seeing photographs, the girlfriend attempted to copy the items to a Scandisk Cruzer jump drive, which was for the most part unsuccessful, and backed up the defendant’s computer with the jump drive but was unsure if the info was transferred successfully, police say.

On March 12, the woman got into an argument with her then boyfriend, the defendant, which lead to him leaving the residence with his laptop and a silver external hard drive and went to his mother’s home in Kyle Way in Ewing, N.J., the affidavit of probable cause said.
Prior to the argument, the former girlfriend gave the Scandisk Cruzer thumb drive to Falls police on March 6 for further investigation, and police searched the temporary storage device with her permission. Police Detective Stephen Reeves found 41 photos of a white female who he believed to be between the ages of 15-17 in which 19 photos of the female were in different stages of nudity, court records said.
On May 1, 2012, in a joint effort with Ewing Township, Falls Township police served a warrant a search warrant at the address and located the Laptop, a silver external drive described by the woman to police originally and an Apple I-Pod Touch, police said.

During the search, police located numerous pictures of KW in various stages of undress.
Police interviewed KW and she identified herself in the photographs and thought she was 13-14 years old at the time the pictures were taken.
Steibing was charged with one county of child pornography, a felony and sent to Bucks County Prison, in lieu of 10 percent of $250,000 by District Court Judge Jan Vislosky.

His preliminary hearing is set for May 14.
