A 45-year-old man pursued his girlfriend out of Brady’s Bar on Sunday night and assaulted her after an argument in the watering hole, Bristol Township police said.
William Hibbs, of the 1000 block of First Avenue in Croydon, chased down the victim in his van, got out and hit the woman with his open hand, court records said.

The woman, who told police she left the bar because of a heated verbal exchange between the two, was located by police on Cedar Avenue with multiple marks and bruises to her face, court documents said.
The woman went on to tell authorities that when she attempted to leave the bar without Hibbs, but he then followed her, police said.
The defendant then got out of his vehicle and began “kicking and punching her in the face with a closed fist,” the victim told police, according to court records.

Officials on scene reported the victim’s lip was swollen and bleeding and she had lacerations to her neck, and noticeable swelling on her face.
Hibbs was arrested for simple assault and harassment and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 8 in front of District Court Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr.

Online court documents indicate Hibbs was unable to post bail and is now in Bucks County Prison.
