Patrol units were dispatched to Snyder’s home on Centre Street at 2:49 a.m. for reports of a domestic dispute in progress. Officers arrived to find his girlfriend claiming he assaulted her, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The girlfriend told officers the fight was triggered after Snyder questioned her on the use of her cell phone, police said. She added that Snyder “began to fight with her” after she refused to give him her phone.

Sometime during the fight, Snyder headbutted her and placed her in a headlock, the girlfriend told police. An officer said in court documents that the woman sustained a laceration to her upper lip as a result of the fight.

When speaking with authorities, Snyder said he “technically” headbutted his girlfriend, police said.

Snyder is free on 10 percent of $20,000 bail.
