A 28-year-old Bristol Borough man was arrested early Sunday for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, police said.
Bristol Borough police were called to the 300 block of Monroe street for a domestic call, the affidavit of probable cause states.

Police said, Webster Adams girlfriend told them Adams struck her in the “face with his hands.”
Black and blue bruising was observed on the victim by police, which they say appeared to be a few days old but with “new injuries about her face.”
The victim told police she has been physically abused by Adams before but didn’t report it to authorities because she is “afraid” of the defendant.

No injuries were reported to the unborn baby
Adams faces simple assault and harassment charges and is currently out on bail in lieu of $50,000 unsecured bond.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Bristol District Court Judge Frank W. Peranteau, Sr, on May 15.
