“When arriving on scene, crews encountered heavy smoke conditions with fire in the garage and made an aggressive attack to stop the spread of fire from getting to the house,” according to information released by the Parkland Fire Co. The company added that damage to the garage was “minimal.”

Crews from Langhorne-Middletown, Penndel and Lower Southampton fire companies responded along with Parkland. A medic unit from the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad also reported to the scene.

Middletown Fire Marshal Jim McGuire was out of the office and not available to comment on the cause Wednesday.
