Two outstanding Playwickian writers are among the winners of the prestigious 2013 Scholastic Keystone Press Awards contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.Freshman Eishna Ranganathan received Second Place in General News Category for her article “National Honor Society hosts another successful blood drive,” and Sophomore Gillian McGoldrick received honorable mention in the Feature Story Category for her article “Neshaminy’s own internet sensation.”
“The entire Playwickian staff is proud of Eishna and Gillian for their outstanding contributions to the newspaper,” Playwickian Adviser Tara Huber said. “It is quite an accomplishment for high school students to be recognized at the state level.”
Ranganathan and McGoldrick will be honored at the Awards Luncheon on Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the America East Newspaper Operations and Technology Conference at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa.
