A Nissan Altima caught fire on Route 1 Thursday evening, causing disruptions in the southbound lanes.

The older model car burst into flames between the overpass bridge and Hulmeville Road in Middletown Township.
Firefighters from Parkland and Langhorne-Middletown fire companies were quickly on the scene to extinguish the blaze.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
