A Hulmeville Borough sex offender has been charged with failing to change his address.
Kenneth John Whittaker, 59, was charged Sunday with failure to register with the Pennsylvania State Police.

According to an affidavit filed by Hulmeville Borough police, state police contacted Chief John Baran in August 2020 regarding Whittaker and his whereabouts. Troopers told the borough chief that Whittaker was in violation of his Megan’s Law reporting requirements.
Police said they tried to make contact with Whittaker numerous times at his Bellevue Avenue address and learned he moved one residence over. They ended up contacting him and advised him to update his required reporting, which he said he understood and would contact state police immediately.
Last month, troopers again reached out to Hulmeville Borough police and advised them that Whittaker remained in violation of his Megan’s Law reporting requirement.

A state police Megan’s Law report stated that Whittaker was convicted in 1994 of indecent assault and related offenses for incidents that happened in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Whittaker was arraigned by on-call District Judge Gary Gambardella Sunday afternoon and sent to county lockup on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.
