Authorities are investigating the death of a cat in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.
The cat escaped from its owner’s home on Cornflower Lane in the Crabtree neighborhood Tuesday and returned that evening. The cat – named Prince – was acting a bit off, but the owner thought the pet was acting differently because it had been outside, according to Nikki Thompson, chief Bucks County SPCA police officer.

The next day, the owner noticed the cat was not back to normal and found two pellet gun wounds under its medium-length hair, Thompson said.
The cat had to be euthanized after being taken for treatment.
The Bucks County SPCA is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting that killed Price.
