Trekking To Dallas, Carry The Load Walks Through Area

A drizzle fell Wednesday evening as a group of walkers from Carry The Load traveled through Lower Bucks County.

The group of about a dozen were part of the nonprofit’s effort to travel 11,500 miles by foot and bicycle across America before Memorial Day. The team that came through Middletown and Langhorne Borough was traveling a 3,000-mile East Coast route that started in West Point, New York and will end on Memorial Day in Dallas.

Earlier in the day, Carry The Load was welcomed with a big celebration in Yardley before heading off with an escort from emergency responders.

Carry The Load organizes East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast legs of their trip that will all meet in Dallas. The group aims to raise awareness and pay tribute to military members and emergency responders who have passed away.
