Playwicki Park in Middletown was closed Thursday afternoon following the discovery of a body.
The deceased male was found in the Neshaminy Creek in Lower Southampton, across from the park. Lower Southampton police Chief Ted Krimmel said the body was found in the water along the active Norfolk Southern rail line bridge (the taller of the two spans.)

Divers were spotted working to remove the body as Bucks County Rangers, Bucks County Detectives and Lower Southampton police assisted from the shore.
The Bucks County Coroner took the man’s body from the scene and an autopsy is set for Friday, Krimmel said.
Krimmel said the body did not appear to be in the water for too long. He added that his department and county detectives are investigating the circumstances surround the man’s death.
