The mainly Democratic crowd at Vice President Joe Biden’s rally for Hillary Clinton at the Bucks County Community College’s Lower Bucks Campus Friday were unsurprisingly impressed by the campaign stop.

Bristol Borough resident Joseph Mieczkowski said he was surprised by Biden’s speech atย the community college and felt it was inspirational.ย “I don’t feel like I needed to check his facts,” said Mieczkowski.

Overall, Clinton supporters seemed happy to hear Biden speak on issues that are important for the upcoming election. People from Richboro, Philadelphia, Levittown and other area towns came to the college to show their support.

“I agree with everything he said, especially the education stuff,” said Bill Hany Jr., who came from Philadelphia to hear Biden speak.

A common praise thrust upon Biden is the connection that he has to working people. People who hear him speak often mention that they can connect to him easier than other politicians.

“I thought it was good,” explained John Annunziuta. “No one typifies the working guy more than Joe.”

“I would have liked to see him run, but he has other things going on,” Annunziuta said, before again referring to Biden’s genuine attitude.

Philadelphia resident Howard Caplan didn’t see the speech but stood outside to protest. He held a sign related to aย conspiracy involving an alleged cover-up of Clinton’s emails.

“Yeah, you can say I’m not a fan of her,” Caplan said.
