โ€œThe Board of Directors is deeply grateful to Barbara for her vision, her passion for NOVAโ€™s mission, and her strategic leadership over more than two decades,โ€ Karen M. Kern, search committee chair and member of the board of directors, said in a statement. โ€œHer legacy to the board and the community is a vibrant organization.โ€

From NOVA’s press release:

Under Ms. Clarkโ€™s leadership, NOVA evolved from being a small nonprofit victim services agency with a budget of $235 thousand in 1991 to a significantly larger, financially sound and nationally recognized victim services organization whose budget surpasses $3.27 million. She has overseen the establishment of permanent headquarters in Jamison and two satellite offices in Fairless Hills and Perkasie; a major capital campaign that exceeded its goal, raising over $2.1 million by its close last October 2014; formation of the Bucks County Childrenโ€™s Advocacy Center; development of a talented staff dedicated to providing the highest levels of support, counseling, advocacy and prevention education; and creation of a strong fundraising base with a wide network of supporters.

NOVA’s board of directors have begun their search for Clark’s replacement by hiring Leadership Recruiters of Philadelphia to assist.
