Tickets On Sale For St. Mark School Lip Sync Battle Part Two Featuring Bob Kelly

Popular Fox 29 Philadelphia traffic anchor Bob Kelly will host an entertaining fundraiser for a local school, and the public is invited to watch.

St. Mark School in Bristol Borough is presenting Lip Sync Battle Part Two, hosted by Kelly, on Saturday, April 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Conwell-Egan High School on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills.

The musical event will benefit St. Mark School and Kellyโ€™s Kidz, which supports children in pediatric hospitals and collects toys for them.

A number of teams will compete to be named the best lip syncers in the area, with Bristol Borough police Chief Joe Moors, Lower Bucks Total Health and Wellness Centerโ€™s Dr. Charlie Flood, Stepping Stone Dance Studio owner Dana Stone, and St. Mark School and Conwell-Egan Catholic High School alumni Kayla Jones judging the contest.

The first-place lip sync winner will receive a $100 prize, the second place will win a $50 prize, and the third place will win a $25 prize.

The lip sync contest will be made up of a handful of students, and they will each perform a lip sync act that will last three to five minutes.

In the past, performers have lip-synced โ€œThis Is Meโ€ from โ€œThe Greatest Showmanโ€ and music from โ€œHamilton.โ€

St. Mark School, a Catholic pre-K through eighth-grade school that sits on the Delaware River, hosted its first Lip Sync Battle in early 2020. While the event was a success, the pandemic derailed planned contests in 2021 and 2022.

โ€œThis is a return for the event. In 2020 at the first one, we raised over $3,200 between ticket sales, raffles, and snack stands,โ€ said Diana Meunier, the parent volunteer who is organizing the event.

Meunier encouraged the community to come out for a night of entertainment and to support the local school. She explained the school is in the process of upgrading classrooms with new furniture and supplies to support students.

Kelly, a supporter of Catholic education in the region, has been involved in several events with St. Mark School.

โ€œWhat you see on TV is what you get in real life,โ€ Meunier said of Kelly. โ€œHeโ€™s friendly and outgoing, and heโ€™s a nice person who genuinely cares about Catholic schools and schools in general.โ€

Tickets for the event are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. Kids under age 14 are free with a paid adult. Purchase tickets online.
