This month you can help Bet on Success.
The United Way of Bucks County and a group of volunteers from a number of corporate partners will host a casino-themed fundraiser on Friday, April 20. The Bet on Success fundraiser will be held at one of the most unique venues in Bucks County – The Fuge at 780 Falcon Circle in Warminster at 7 p.m. Included with each ticket will be food, beer, wine, and martinis; a signature dessert station and coffee; games; raffles; and auctions. Professionally-run casino games will be one of the highlights of the night.
Bet on Success will put the proceeds from the fun-filled evening to fund scholarships for early education and childcare for children of low-income working families across Bucks County.
In the county, 76 percent of children eligible for publicly-funded pre-K aren’t able to take part in the program due to budget limitations. The money raised by the Bet on Success event will go toward helping kids who otherwise may not have a chance to attend early education programs.
The event came into existence when a group of young business professionals that partner with the United Way of Bucks County identified the challenges of working while raising a family, specifically the rising cost of quality childcare and early education. From there, they got to work to plan the fundraiser.
Bet on Success is presented by Penn Community Bank, and sponsored by Suez North America, Comcast, Wegmans, Parx Casino, BB&T Bank, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Tickets for Bet on Success are currently available at www.uwbucks.org/betonsuccess. Recommended donation is $100 per person and $85 per person for groups of six or more.
