Windsor Barber Shop, a legendary shop in the Levittown area is always welcoming new customers as it continues to provide splashy and distinct cuts alongside traditional styles.
The store, located on 7741 New Falls Road in Levittown, has a highly loyal customer base, many of whom have gotten their hair done at Windsor Barber Shop for close to 30 years.
“I just like the atmosphere here. It’s relaxed, every time I’ve been here, I really haven’t had to tell the barber what to do. I get a haircut every other week. I was in the military [the army] so he’s given me a discount,” said Kevyn Sills, whose grandfather introduced him to the store after himself being a long-time customer.
“We do any style men’s haircut, beards, razor, really cool designs. I usually just do freestyle designs. We’ve done roses, Eagles designs, other kinds of things,” said Dan Kane, manager of the shop.

Steve Beitler, who has decades experience, owns the business that he describes as a “family shop with a focus on scissor cuts.”
“We take pride in our work. Steve has had this business for 30 years,” Kane said. “We have a pretty standard walk-in flow. We have had a lot of good barbers here.”
“Steve’s the best barber with scissors in Levittown. He really is,” Kane explained.
The shop offers haircuts for a lower price than many competitors, with haircuts and beards included in one price. Beitler said the shop welcomes customers of all ages, including kids coming in for their first cut.
A haircut at Windsor costs $18, although the price is $13 for children and $15 for senior citizens. In addition, a stand-alone beard trim costs $8. The shop has five booths for haircuts and is often packed with customers chatting and waiting for their turn.
“If you walk in, it’s the same price as if you make an appointment,” Kane said.

Customers are welcomed by the staff when they walk in the door and even are greeted by two parrots that Beitler keeps in the front.
When asked about the shop’s more unique and interesting styles, customers strongly praised the levels of artistry and quality.
“Recently, Dan helped change my hair a bit, gave me a bit more of a different style. One of the nicest barber shops around, really clean. I’ve known Steve for 15 years,” said customer Justin Crump. “They’ve always treated me well. Good hospitality and work ethic. I trust them. I’ve had stars, lightning bolts, Eagles lettering, all types of different things.”
“I’ve been going here for a while now. I went to Conwell-Egan and I’ve been going here since high school. It’s comfortable here, it’s a good place,” said longtime customer Jarad McClure. “I always go to Dan and get exactly how I want it. The quality of service keeps me coming back.”
Donny Lorady, who has gone to Beitler for years, said the shop and the barber’s high-quality work has kept him coming back for the past 20 years.
One option Windsor Barber Shop offers is a hot-towel shave for $25.
“You take a hot towel, you wrap it around their face and neck. The steam opens your pores and the heat softens the hair follicles. It feels really refreshing and you get a massage. You then use either shaving cream or shaving gel and shave the neck. The whole experience is great,” barber Dave Rowe said.

For Rowe, one of the highlights of his job is the artistry he can exercise when cutting hair, especially for customers requesting fades and various designs.
“We’ve done a lot of Eagles designs since the Super Bowl,” he said with a chuckle.
Rowe isn’t alone in his thinking. Beitler said he enjoys seeing the reaction from the customers after they get a fresh cut.
“I like watching the people get a smile on their face when they’re done,” the longtime barber said.
Windsor Barber Shop is open from Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
