A family-owned ice cream and burger shop is opening in Levittown at 6935 Bristol Emilie Road.

Samantha Kaleck, and her father, Rob Kaleck, along with his business partner, Steve Matthews, all local residents of the area, are bringing a ton of new items to the Levittown location. This includes 10 handcrafted 100% Fresh Angus burgers and sides, 10 flavors of Richmanโ€™s soft ice cream, 20 flavors of Richmanโ€™s hand dipped ice cream, and in addition 15 flavors of Philadelphia Water Ice.

The grand opening is set for Saturday, March 25 from noon to 4 p.m. State Rep. Tina Davis will cut the ribbon at noon followed by an ‘Ice Cream Zone’ bounce house and fun music by DJ Smooth.

Make sure you stop by on opening day for your Free Small Ice Cream or Water Ice to kick off your day! (One per customer)

Rob Kaleck and Steve Matthews started Philadelphia Water Ice Company back in 1988 and have grown it in the years since. Later taking on a new company, Richmanโ€™s Ice Cream opened their first retail location in Prospect Park, Delaware County in 2012. A location in Brigantine, New Jersey was added in 2014. Richmanโ€™s is now expanding their third location to Levittown and a fourth location in Glenside, Montgomery County is coming this spring.

After Samantha graduated from Lock Haven University with a degree in business and marketing, she came onboard with the family business. She is now the regional retail manager of all their locations and intends on making sure customers are greeted with a friendly face and leave with a full stomach. ย

One of the items that will be featured on the menu is the gigantic Levittown sundae, which is comprised of six scoops of ice cream with three toppings, then topped off with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a cherry on top.

All items on the menu are original family recipes and prepared fresh daily. ย All burgers are made to order with high quality ingredients. The company prides themselves on 100% never frozen Angus beef. Samantha said their motto is โ€œfrom our plant to your plate.โ€

Richmanโ€™s will have indoor and outdoor seating for patrons. Live music will be featured on weekends in the summer. The new restaurant and ice cream shop is a family oriented business and they want to convey that to their customers. Richmanโ€™s wants to create a fun atmosphere for family and friends to share a meal or ice cream cone.

The family is already getting involved within the community, sponsoring the Bristol Township Girls Softball League and Neshaminy Gym Night. Samantha stated if anyone is interested in fundraising for their organization, to please reach out to her. A percentage of profits will be donated to your organization.

Richmanโ€™s fans include the Phillies Phanatic, Bradley Cooper, and Kevin Jonas who came to visit their Brigantine location last summer to enjoy a treat.

Also if youโ€™re wondering, this is the same Richmanโ€™s that began in Woodstown, New Jersey in 1894. The family is using all the same recipes to deliver real old fashioned hand dipped ice cream. ย

Richmanโ€™s is still hiring. ย Please go to their website: ย RichmansIC.com and fill out an online application and email it to richmansic@yahoo.com.
