

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Bath Road Thursday night.
The pedestrian was struck around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Route 13 and Bath Road, near the Bristol Borough border, police said.

The driver of the striking vehicle stopped, according to one official.
Police Acting Lt. Ralph Johnson told LevittownNow.com staff from nearby Lower Bucks Hospital rushed to aid the struck pedestrian. Despite their best efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and quickly covered with a white sheet until the coroner arrived.

Bristol Fire Company No. 1 responded to the crash along with medics and Bristol Township Fire Police.

The crash happened around the time light rain moved through the Lower Bucks County area.
Bath Road was closed between Lower Bucks Hospital and Route 13 as of 11:30 p.m.
