Falls Township officials have a warning after door-to-door salespeople have been showing up.

Representatives from a company called SpartanX began soliciting door-to-door without a permit and spreading misleading claims about solar energy programs, the township said last week.
Representatives from the business have been knocking on doors throughout the municipality without obtaining the township permit required for solicitation, officials said.
During the sales visits, the company’s solicitors have allegedly told residents that the state will pay for solar power installations because of data centers.
Township officials stated that claim is not true.

Officials told residents to remain cautious of SpartanX and any other businesses using false statements to drum up sales.
Residents who encounter solicitors from SpartanX and want to file a report are asked to contact the Falls Township Police Department at 215-328-8501.
