Officers responded to the store at 3461 Horizon Blvd. at approximately 2:31 p.m. Oct. 16 for a report of a retail theft.
Investigators determined that a suspect entered the business around 1:40 p.m. carrying a collapsible scooter. He was wearing a black jacket and dark blue jeans.
Once inside, the man put on a yellow vest, selected a rifle bag offered for sale, and approached an employee in the sporting goods section, police said.

He then presented fraudulent paperwork that purported to give “clearance” for a Winchester .308 rifle, police said.
Surveillance video recorded the man walking into a restricted, employee-only area and placing the rifle inside the bag. He then exited the store through the garden department and fled the property.
Additional surveillance footage captured the suspect at approximately 1:50 p.m. traveling through the Neshaminy Mall parking lot toward a SEPTA bus stop.
